Thoms Place is located on Wrangell Island and within the City and Borough of Wrangell and is approximately 15 to 20 miles south of the City of Wrangell. There are no scheduled flights in or out of Thoms Place and it is known as a remote recreational area.
Thoms Place falls within the southeast maritime climate zone, characterized by cool summers, mild winters and heavy rain throughout the year. Fog is common in Wrangell from September through December.
How to Access
The parcel can be accessed by a platted right of way (Dunn Street) adjacent to back of the property line, which is reached by boat at high tide to a small rock and sand beach.
Utilities
There are no public sewer or water to the subdivision. Septic systems have to be developed on-site and meet the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Water in the area is typically collected on-site via a private water catchment system.
