TRUST ANNUAL LAND SALE UNDERWAY

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (September 19, 2019) – The Alaska Mental Health Trust Land Office’s 2019 Fall Land Sale Auction is underway, with final bids due November 12, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. This year’s land sale auction includes 63 parcels in locations across Southcentral, Southeast, and Interior Alaska that will be sold to the highest bidder. Revenue generated from land sales will go into the Mental Health Trust Fund; earnings from the Fund pay for programs that support Trust beneficiaries across the state.

The 2019 sale includes unique parcels on the road system, in remote locations, as well as river, ocean and lakefront parcels. Photos, maps, parcel access and survey details, and additional information including the minimum bid is available for each parcel on the Trust land auction webpage: https://alaskamentalhealthtrust.org/trust-land-office/land-sales/fall19/

“We are excited that our land sale auction provides bidders with an opportunity to own a piece of Alaska, and at the same time generate revenue to support Trust beneficiaries,” said Wyn Menefee, Trust Land Office Executive Director. “We have put forth some great offerings in this year’s sale, including parcels conducive to recreational or commercial use.”

Policies and procedures for placing a bid can be found on the land sale auction webpage. Following the bid acceptance period, sealed bids will be opened on Monday, November 14 at the Trust Land Office.
