Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority Announces $7.2M in Grant Awards

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (Trust) awarded $7,216,838 in grants to beneficiary-serving organizations in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026.

These grants to partners are a part of the Trust’s $25+ million annual grant program supporting Alaskan organizations that serve and support Trust beneficiaries. Trust grants are awarded for a variety of beneficiary-related purposes, including capacity building, direct service, planning, capital projects, and workforce initiatives to organizations. Applications for Trust grants are accepted on a quarterly basis.

“The grants awarded this quarter represent a significant investment in the continuum of care; from expanding crisis stabilization and prevention efforts to strengthening our essential workforce,” said Mary Wilson MD, CEO of the Trust. “We are proud to support these dedicated partners working to deliver positive, lasting outcomes for beneficiaries in communities throughout the state.”

Many of the projects funded by the Trust also receive funding from the philanthropic community, private donations, earned revenue, and other community support. Trust grants are awarded to organizations that serve or support Trust beneficiaries, including nonprofits, service providers, Tribal entities, foundations, and government agencies.
