Edna Bay is located on the southeast coast of Kosciusko Island, northwest of Prince of Wales Island, in Southeast Alaska. It lies 90 miles northwest of Ketchikan.

Edna Bay falls within the southeast maritime climate zone, characterized by cool summers, mild winters, and heavy rain throughout the year.

Access


Transportation and cargo are provided by float plane or boat from Craig, Ketchikan, or Petersburg. Edna Bay is not connected to the island's road system. A dock and harbor with breakwater are available. The parcels are located on either side of Davidson Ave.

Utilities


No public utilities are available to the sites and electricity is provided by individual private generators. There is no public sewer or water to the subdivision. Septic systems have to be developed on-site and meet the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation. Water in the area is typically collected on-site via a private water catchment system.

Notes


The subject site is all muskeg with small pine trees and vegetation occurring sporadically. To develop this site with a home would require building on driven piles. Filling can occur over a Geotech fabric, to support driveways and temporary structures.
