The Trust is recruiting for a permanent TLO Executive Director

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority (Trust) within the State of Alaska is recruiting for the position of Trust Land Office Executive Director. This is a fully exempt, professional position with a starting salary between $140,000 to $170,000 annually.  Final salary will be negotiated at the time of hire and will be based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. The position is in Anchorage, Alaska, is an employee of the Department of Natural Resources, and is offered with a complete State of Alaska benefit package.

The Executive Director provides leadership and direction concerning the protection and revenue production performance of the Trust’s noncash assets through resource development and other means. The Executive Director manages approximately 1 million acres of Trust land with fiduciary responsibility to the Trust. The Executive Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the board of trustees and has prime responsibility for the formulation of significant policy recommendations and their presentation to the board. In addition, the Executive Director carries out direction from the CEO and board by establishing policies, goals and objectives, desired yields, risk preferences, diversification and asset allocation and utilization.
