Papoose LakeThe parcel is located on the east shore of East Papoose Lake in the Big Lake, AK area. This area of Alaska is situated within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, but is outside municipal zoning. The Big Lake area is best known for its water sports, fishing, and recreational activates on any of the many lakes.
Big Lake area is approximately 14 miles north on the W. Parks Highway. The area consists of mainly recreational cabins and residential homes.
Access is only by float plane seasonally or by a trail in the winter.
Electricity is not available in the area. There are no municipal water or sewer systems available. Private wells and septic systems are typical in the area. All on-site well and septic must meet the requirements of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
The parcel is located within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, but outside of municipal zoning.
